Quick & Easy - No knead Artisan Bread

This no knead artisan bread is so easy you will want fresh bread ALL the time!  The best part is there are only 5 ingredients.  My kids even have the recipe memorized and prep it the night before to ensure they will have fresh baked bread the next day!  This crusty bread is so good!  Slather some butter, jam, nut butter, etc or use it for sandwiches.  If put away in an air tight container these bread slices toast up great the next day and freeze well.

What you need:
Large mixing bowl
Silicone spatula or large wooden spoon (can also use your hands if you have neither)
1/4 tsp yeast (any yeast but I use instant)
1/2 tsp sugar
1 1/2 c warm water
3 c flour (bleached or unbleached)
1 tsp salt

What to do:
Mix the first 3 ingredients together until yeast and sugar are dissolved.
Add in flour and salt.
Stir until it looks combined (no need to over do it) then cover to let it rise overnight or for 6 hours.  I’ve used both reusable beeswax and Saran Wrap.  That’s it!

Baking:
When you are ready to bake the bread pull out your dough.  It should have at least doubled in size.

Sprinkle some flour and pull it away from the edges.  Roughly shape into a ball and set aside.

Preheat oven to 450f and place oven safe baking dish inside to heat up.  In the past I have used my le creuset Dutch oven before but now I’ve dedicated this corningware bowl as our bread making bowl.  When oven is ready pull out the hot baking dish and brush with olive oil.  Dump in your dough.  Slash an X on top.

Sprinkle on that everything bagel seasoning!  Or not, but we love it...the more the better!  Cover with foil and bake for 30mins @ 450f.  Remove foil and then turn down the oven to 425f and bake an additional 15 mins.

Pull out and let cool 15 mins.  Dig in and enjoy!  Let me know when you’ve tried it and how it turned out!!  Here is a printable recipe card too.
