Carlsbad caverns is a must if you are driving through New Mexico. We had been here before with Kayla but now we had two more littles in tow.
The kids loved it! Its about a 3.5 mile walk down the caverns but both Kayla (5) & Aiden (3) did it on their own! I used my ergo baby carrier for Cole since the walk would have been too long for him and it worked out great because he ended up napping. The caves are cool and absolutely beautiful.
Afterwards Aiden played in the gift shop for a little bit and we had lunch outside. Before leaving San Antonio I made turkey and ham sandwiches and froze them. Our Yeti cooler has kept them cold so it has been convenient to not have to stop and search for lunch places these last two days.
Now off to Santa Fe, NM!
