Fruit Tart

This is a simple yet delicious dessert I received from my neighbor Gina.


For the crust:
1/2 c butter (room temperature)
1 c flour
1/4 c sugar
1/2 tsp almond or vanilla extract

Filling:
1/2 c fruit preserve or fruit jam
sliced fruit

Mix all crust ingredients and pat into 9" pie pan
Bake at 350F for 20 mins then cool completely

Arrange sliced fruit in concentric circles on top
Melt preserve and brush on top of fruit
Bake at 350F for 45 mins then serve either hot, warm or room temperature.
