In lieu of a birthday cake, I decided on a cookie bar as this was a belated birthday party for my son. We did have a cake on his actual birthday and we sang Happy Birthday together including extended family via FaceTime to him.
To follow the theme of a cookie bar, I thought it would be cute to create an Oreo cookie stack shaped cake. I used 2 boxes of Oreos to create a mini cake piled on top of a cake stand. My inspiration came from the blog Shiny Happy Sprinkles and her original tutorial can be found here and their step by step picture tutorial was very easy to follow and helpful.
